The first Android mascots were terrifying
The Android logo is now one of the most well-known icons in technology, but there was a time when the mobile operating system didn’t have its familiar green mascot. Google’s Dan Morrill has posted a number of images on his Google page, revealing some of the first mascot designs that were created for the OS.
One of the designers for Microsoft’s Windows 8 has revealed some of his early concepts for the latest operating system. Marius Bauer says his dream job was to create the default wallpaper and Windows was his entry point for the discipline. One of Bauers is now a part of the final product in Windows 8 such as the Startscreen styles and the default Seattle Lockscreen and they say that they’re “really glad with the final work.”
